Heinrich Böll Foundation grants 2019

The scholarship department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to graduates, and doctoral students from outside Germany. An application for a scholarship for an undergraduate degree is not possible.

The application deadline is 1 March. Please note: We only accept online applications. The application portal will be opened about 6 weeks before the application deadline.

International applicants have to prove their proficiency in German. Good or very good knowledge of the German language is required (at least B2 Level or DSH2).

Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme for 2019/2020

Thousands of students from all around the world apply for higher educational studies in Hungary each year. The number of Stipendium Hungaricum applicants is continuously increasing as well as the number of available scholarship places. In the 2018/2019 round of applications, more than 4100 scholarships were awarded. In the academic year 2019/2020 more than 5000 students can begin their studies in Hungary in the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme.

The programme is based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements signed between the Ministries responsible for education in the sending countries/territories and Hungary or between institutions. Currently around 70 Sending Partners are engaged in the programme throughout 5 different continents and the geographical scope of the programme is spreading each year.

The new Call for Applications 2019/2020 is available below and the application platform is open! The deadline for applications is 15 January 2019.

Scholarship: Master of Arts in Human Rights and Democratisation

The Master of Human Rights and Democratization (Asia Pacific) (APMA Program), hosted at Mahidol University’s Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP), is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 academic year. There will be scholarships available for applicants from the Asia-Pacific region 2018-2019 academic year.
